Southernville, a rapidly growing corporate business company, is on the lookout for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. About Us Founded as a family business, Southernville has transformed into a corporate powerhouse since its establishment in December 2021. We are an integrated company comprising SwanHtet Myint, Nova Light, Even Light, and Mon AgroTech Company Limited. We have successfully completed electrical turnkey projects across various state and regional government ESE Departments. Our capital size and yearly success in turnkey projects have grown significantly, and we are planning to export value-added agricultural products to China and the ASEAN region.
The Role In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance section and Managing Director by handling various accountingtasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Responsibilities
Assist with routine clerical and accounting tasks.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including basic bookkeeping and accounting functions.
Review expense reports for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper documentation and approval before processing payments.
Utilize the ERP system to manage accounts payable, receivable, and petty cash.
Maintain accurate and organized financial files in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Handle cash deposits and withdrawals as required.
Prepare daily cash balance reports for the Managing Director.
Create financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, accounts payable and receivable reports, general ledgers, and cash books.
Process daily cash transactions, including checking, endorsing, and data entry in Excel.
Obtain approvals and report payments to the Managing Director.
Review and verify expense reports and payment processes.
Manage and monitor all banking transactions.
Reconcile daily cash book transactions with cashier records.
Verify advanced and claimed payment vouchers.
Generate monthly cash book reports for the accounting consultant.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 year of experience in a similar accounting role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential)
Experience with accounting software (ERP system a plus)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
